Southern Sardinia
4 – 8 December 2026Sold out
The wildest coast of Sardinia in December, when the sun stays low all day and the beaches are empty. Unsettled weather is the point, not the risk: it is what gives us skies worth photographing.
Places we may go
Red rock, turquoise water and old watchtowers on the headlands. We move along the south-western coast according to the wind and the light, choosing each location the evening before.

This list is not exhaustive and it can change. A swell that arrives early, a road shut by the weather, or a sky clearly worth chasing somewhere else are all good reasons to spend a morning in a place that is not on this page.
This date is full, but the requests are what shape the calendar: tell me if it interests you.
Join the waiting listThere is no day-by-day itinerary. There is a rhythm.
We don’t publish a fixed day-by-day programme, because the weather decides where we should be. What stays the same every day is the shape below; what changes is where we point the cameras, and we choose that together the evening before.
Dry
High pressure and a clean winter sky. The sun stays low all day, so the light is usable far longer than in summer — and the middle of the day is short enough to spend on the island itself.
| 07:20 | Sunrise | In December the sun rises late: no brutal starts |
| 09:30 | Breakfast | We go through the morning’s files together |
| 11:00 | Theory | The topics of the week, at the table |
| 13:00 | On the road | A nuraghe, the salt pans and their flamingos, a village |
| 15:30 | Post-production, forecast or planning | We choose the evening together |
| 16:55 | Sunset, then dinner | The low winter sun stays warm for a long time |
Wet
Rain coming off the sea. Winter here gives skies you never see in August, and they are worth getting wet for: we go to the wide viewpoints, where the sky is half the frame.
| 07:20 | Sunrise under cloud | The colour arrives before the sun does |
| 09:30 | Breakfast, dry off | Dry off, first look at the files |
| 11:00 | Theory | Reading a moving sky |
| 13:00 | On the road, out of the rain | A nuraghe, the salt pans and their flamingos, a village |
| 15:30 | Post-production, forecast or planning | The evening is decided here |
| 16:55 | Sunset where it opens, then dinner | Ten good minutes are worth the whole day |
Stormy
Mistral and rain. The wind is the story, but not from an exposed cliff: we watch the sea work against the rock from solid ground, and give the long middle of the day to the desk.
| 08:00 | A later start, breakfast | Salt spray is the real enemy here |
| 10:00 | Theory, long session | Long exposure, filters, protecting the camera |
| 12:30 | Post-production, forecast or planning | The best afternoon of the week for desk work |
| 14:30 | On the road | Out of the wind: a village, a museum, a long lunch |
| 16:55 | Out if it opens | The light after a mistral is the cleanest of the year |
What we work on

- Exposure with the histogram, in light that changes fast
- Filters: graduated, polariser, ND
- Advanced long exposure
- Post-production, on your own files, during the week
